Tour : Hole 17

Blue

A glorious long hole, rated #1 on the card for the men. The tee shot must be long and straight to reach a space where the fairway opens to the green. Big hitters might consider a left to right shape. Mid to long iron will be required for the approach. The front of the green is open and a popular strategy is to run the ball up using the undulating contours of the fairway.

There is a significant slope diagonally from back left to front right that makes every putt a challenge.

Red

A drive slightly left of centre is perfect here. For the longer hitters, consider aiming further right to reduce the distance of your approach. If you are unable to make the green in two, leave your ball short and right of the green which allows an easier chip. Lastly, be below the hole as the green slopes from back to front.
